I didn’t realised that having a blog is like a relationship. You need to have a sense of commitment if you want it running. I just took a little break and so I sincerely apologised if I had not been blogging but my thoughts have been always with you all who reads my page across the globe.
I just renewed my site today, I have been contemplating if it’s still worthwhile to keep it. Every time I checked my email, wordpress kept on sending me a notice that it’s about to expire and if I don’t renew I will lose it permanently. The feeling is like someone wants to take a property of yours and I am not ready to give it up. I have a lot to share and I’m very excited to be back!
2016 was a year of travel for me. I visited a lot of places across Europe which was all done by random impulse. It’s good to take a break and feel revitalise from the repetitive lifestyle that we have. No matter how far or close the distance we take as long as we give time ourselves to breathe, it gives us a feeling of relief that there’s more to life than what’s on our plate right now.
2017 plans has already been organised, bit scary but let’s see how it goes. I have two trips coming this February and March. If you don’t follow me yet on Instagram, please do @kellydimp I use hashtag travellynea for all my travels and I consistently post my fashion and lifestyle.
So I have 2 lined blog post to come let me know which one should I post first. Updated Perfume Collection or another Travel blog? Let me know on the comment below and I look forward to be writing again.
People who knows me would probably laugh at me once this blog will be published in an hour or so… Some of my friends are my top critics when it comes to my shopping doze. For most of you who don’t know me, I am not a “Richie rich girl next door”, I worked hard for my things, and the story behind my realization about giving you a wiser tips for most of you who loves to invade the high streets and shopping malls starts here…my short trip to Korea back in 2006.
I went to visit my parents in Seoul, Korea last 2006. It was my first travel abroad on my own.. I fell in love of the city specially their shopping styles. Walking on the streets and taking their subway mesmerized me, Koreans know how to dress well, very trendy and fashionable. At that time, it certainly opens my curiosity about fashion and shopping..
Handbags caught my attention in their shopping center, it was very chic and varieties of colors excites me to own not only one but two or more… and my wish did come true… my parents, aunt and cousins bought me a handbag one each of them so basically I accumulated 6 pieces of handbags! I was so thrilled and amazed! I had to buy a bigger luggage to fit all these stuffs..
Looking back, those handbags were gone, slowly the skin was ripping off and it didn’t held me for few years..I was deeply gutted as I started to enjoy using it.
Here are my Top tips to your Shopping list:
1. Handbags – Do you know the reason why majority of the people invest in a good quality handbags? It is the long lasting use, that makes them buy although the price tags is over the top. Let’s say for example a Louis Vuitton handbag that cost £845.00 or a Mulberry that cost £450.00 If you think of it, our first thought we can’t afford because it’s a one off payment and it’s already a cost of your rent. However, if you are the type of person who loves handbags and almost every month you shop in the high streets due to different styles that comes out every season. If you add it up in a year, I bet you, you have already reached the same price of that classic, leather and never out of fashion piece that will held you for years…. and you might pass it on to your daughter if you are wiser on your shopping choice.
Therefore if you are the type of person who craves for a good quality bag, I say SAVE until you reach the price, go buy and never hold back, one day you will realize your money is all worth it. ( I do this for 8 years now, and it all works ladies..) I have a handbag that I bought last 2009, until now it is still intact and usable, never goes out of fashion. I got it for £545.00 and my recent check in the market, it cost £920.00. The value appreciates which is a good point..
2. Makeups – The reason why makeup industries are getting bigger and bigger to the point that every season new makeup comes out is because to all of You..makeup collectors. How many blushers and lipsticks should a one person own in their life? Do you really need to fill up your makeup vanity to the extent that you still need to order in IKEA another makeup drawer organizers and after that it’s a must for you to buy more because there’s plenty of room to check in all your makeup stuffs.
I am saying this by my past experience, now I have learned to minimized and de clutter. If you haven’t tried this yet, why don’t you start now! If you owned red and pink lipstick, you don’t need to hunt for another same color. As a makeup lover and user, pick your most loved brand and color and stick to it! Mine, when it comes to red lipstick( Nars Audatious Rita is my go to…) for pink (YSL Rouge Pur Couture The Mats 207) I still have varieties but I stopped buying for almost a year now. I realized that I don’t need anymore unless I finished what I loved. If you watch Youtube, makeup bloggers and makeup gurus does de clutter their collections because they must have realized that it’s not worthy to own hundreds…and remember MAKEUP does EXPIRE!
3. Accessories – Have you ever experienced to buy a fashion earrings, necklace or bracelet that cost less than £20.00 after a week it went tarnish and the color fades. I do, when the time I was a compulsive buyer. What is the point of buying those things if you are going to disposed it after a week or less than a month. Why not buy a real one. I mean, silver works does a pretty good job, quality will served you for ages and that’s for sure! If you can’t afford to buy a gold jewelry or a white diamond, I have two piece of advice for you. It’s either you Save or downsize to silver works.
Fashioned accessories are good in the eye, it’s good for a short term use or for some occasions. The question is, are you ready to dispose your money on that short span of time?
4. Shoes – You are allowed to have a couple of shoes that you wanted in life as long as you think you will use it rather than leaving it untouched on your shoe rack. I am guilty of these, I am always questioned why do I keep a lot of shoes under my bed…Why do I keep on buying if I never use it…well not anymore! I go for a comfortable purposes..If you work long hours, never ever deprive yourself to purchase the pair of shoes you wanted. You definitely need it!
Don’t be a shoe brand snob. Most of us only know Nike, Jordan and Adidas. Recently, I purchased a Puma Roshe type of trainer, I must honestly say that the quality and feel on my foot was way better than my Nike Roshe. The price point is half price cheaper than the Nike. Therefore, try to experiment and don’t just go on what is well advertised. Big brands do well on advertisements because they had invested already on their products while low good brands keep their name even not giving us a flushy market on the platform.
They say Shopping is a Cardio.. On my personal perspective, it is a cardio once you started giving yourself a time to decide which is more important and beneficial to your life.
Life is short, enjoy and have fun…

Spring in the UK is the most exciting season for the majority of the people living in London. Everybody knows that we aren’t blessed with enough sunshine and daylight all year round but the thought of the clock changed and reaching the month of spring makes our heart and mind full of hope that it will be a glorious day.
Some of the people hates the british weather wherein one minute the sun is out then followed by the rain pouring out of nowhere. For me, I find it fascinating although sometimes I can’t help myself swearing just because my umbrella isn’t with me in the middle of a sudden rain fall. However, despite of the weather flaws, the beauty of spring in London is alluring. For the past 6 months, we have been wearing sweaters, jackets and coats on top of one another due to autumn and winter. Everyone can’t wait to strip off all these heavy coats and start showing off some skin for this season. I can’t wait to wear dresses without tights underneath, mini skirts with light top, sandals, heels and flip flops and of course denim shorts with crop top. It’s a dream of every woman to walk around the city with such a minimal outfit.
I thought my spring would be less troubled until I allowed myself to be on it. I guess, time has shown me the way to let loose a little bit. Yet, I am still confused if I am leading on the right way or I am stuck in the middle. I believe that everything has a reason and purpose, and I kept on finding what will be the outcome of this. I am talking about the tiny seed I planted on myself which keeps on coming back and forth. I don’t know if this is right and I know God sees my actions, emotions hears my prayers specially if I can’t take it anymore. If there is only one person who would carry me up it’s Him, the one up there who’s alive and always ready to forgive.
As I looked at my phone today for my daily inspirations here’s what He sends me:
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him: my Savior, my helper, and my God.
You see, he sees my heart and he knows I am about to write this blog. God is such an awesome God!
I could see that my season of Spring this year would be full of challenges. A lot of things to work out and I thank God that it is in the season of bright light and sunshine. There’s a lot of things to be greatful and blessed.
Here’s what I’ve learned from this special person whom I know for a long time. She said dearly “God sends people along your way with a purpose, it could give you happiness and touch your life or it could be a lesson or a blessing” recollecting of what she said is totally right. Feelings of happiness should come within and naturally. Nobody can tell and dictate that except yourself. I believe that the feeling of happiness in life shouldn’t be deprived. If you are happy you should flaunt it to the world because not all of us has given the gift of feeling completely happy and loved.
I don’t know how other people could live a life of misery and despair if they could get out of it. I stand corrected – that’s why God has given us the full freedom to choose what is right and wrong and it means we have the freedom to live our life in complete contentment with no room of confusions and fear.
For now it’s a wrap, looking forward for the rest of this season. For sure it will be exciting as I don’t open my door with negativity. If time comes I will hurt my knee because I fall, I’ll get up as soon as I can and will heal that wound straightaway.
For the coffee lovers out there. For the past 2 weeks, I have consumed the most overwhelming number of cup of coffee on my hand. Whenever there is something going on in my mind, I tend to gravitate towards sipping my coffee at anytime of the day.
Whilst I was in the High Street Kensington, I went to this coffee shop. I liked it most during early in the morning when there’s not much people around, less queue and noise. I sat by the corner of the room where I have enough space to own the couch alone. I found myself looking at other people of what they have been doing while drinking their espresso or latte mainly just being nosy. Then suddenly, it caught my attention that for 40 minutes I was staring on the floor rationalizing all sorts of things. This has never happened before and it scared me more when the guy across my table had noticed my weird state of mind.

I distracted myself, instead I browse my instagram and come across to this hash tag weekendcoffeeshare. I thought it was a great idea, if I’m not mistaken this was started by bloggers who write their blogs over a cup of coffee in any coffee shops. The idea was to share how was your entire week have been like then share it to the public via social media.
If you ask me how’s mine, I must say it’s pretty hectic crazy rota for the whole month of April. In each week, I am almost working 5 to 6 days a week and it never ended owing time at work. Sometimes, I thought why the heck I am doing this. Perhaps, I’m not ready yet to give up my vices (shopping, holidays and fun times). For sure it will all pays off once I get there. Friends would asked me how I could managed to still blog and meet up with friends, here’s what I’ve learned from the past.. Life shouldn’t just stop and focused on one thing like your job..you need to learn how to balance your time. I wasn’t very good at this before but as I’ve noticed my age is increasing…I don’t want regrets one day, when time is not available anymore.
I thought you might want to see what’s inside my bag. I don’t have much handbags or I don’t collect. I buy bags that will held me for a long time, this case I tend to buy classic pieces that no matter how many times the turnover of fashion, still classics exist.
I want to share with you what I carry most on my Louis Vuitton Eva Clutch Damier Ebene print.
I cannot go out without my lipstick and compact powder. Keys is always a must.
My 2 years old Louis vuitton zippy coin wallet (I ditched all my wallet and just stick to one)
My eye drops (can’t live without this) also my eyeglasses and sunglasses in which I struggle to squeeze in. I do make sure I wear my eyeglasses whilst my sunnies is inside the clutch.
My 2 travalo perfume holder. Love love these, it saves a lot of space and very handy at all times.
My iphone 6s not a doubt won’t fit in with all these stuffs so I tend to carry it by hand with my earphone. I am always listening to music anyway.
So now, I want to tag you what’s in your bag and how’s your week been over a cup of coffee or tea.
No matter how you strive for yourself to succeed or reach that position you’ve been aiming for a long time if you have a coloured skin the chances are very low.
Living in the Western country opened my eyes to reality how people behave of each other. In my nearly 8 years of stay here in the UK, I hardly see Chinese, Japanese, American, Canadian, Nigerian, Australian, Romanian, Polish, Middle East, and other nationalities sitting on higher position such as being the Director of the company, CEO or in Managerial level.
People I stumble to for the past 8 years shared me their stories how they were badly treated and secluded in the community back in the years were racism were very loud and rampant. I couldn’t comment of their stories as I couldn’t relate and not much to say, perhaps at that time I was young and naive.
Time flies and I slowly sense my surrounding, the way people talk, look in the eyes, and engage with your personality has always something to say. Majority of the companies, hospitals, schools, offices and other establishment were governed by some while the rest are minorities who suppressed their ignorance that putting their foot forward towards superior level is just a fantasy because they know that no matter how they work hard and dedicate their lives to their job, that position won’t be even physically told conscientiously.
Once you step out the house, it seems everything is normal, seamlessly quiet and peaceful but once you intent to compete for your life that is when you would realize that your world starts to turn around. My curiosity and inner self doesn’t want to keep shut instead it gives me the wisdom to understand the horizon of what is really going on. I have learnt and noticed, if you have the voice to speak up that is the magic button, the key of your life for them to give the access that you are the big culprit of their so called “safe life”. You just step up of their comfort and secrets that is hidden among them.
So if you ask me what is the state of racism presently, it’s still excessive and growing. Different nationalities are fighting with each other, wrath and anger deep inside are killing them, jealousy and feeling of unjust and betrayal makes them want to scream to the society that at least they should be treated fairly.
Therefore because of this attitude, people learned how to become racist in their own ways. It is now not just the locals but every nationalities exposed to different cultures evolve into racism. These are the cause of voices not being heard and hard work not being seen and noted. The classifications of skin color are still majorly identified.
I am very interested to know your opinion. Comments and reactions below are very much appreciated. Sharing this article is very much welcome.
